Higan (GBA)

The Higan multi-system emulator is famous for its uncompromising focus on accuracy. Although primarily known for its awesome cycle-accurate SNES emulation, the Higan GBA emulator does not fall behind by any means. This emulator has a simplistic nature to its core and features a not-so-traditional User Interface (UI) that many players find easy to use, while other users find the concept inconvenient. It also comes with some solid features such as enhanced color reproduction, save states, and more.

The Game Boy Advance emulation is only one part of Higan. This emulator supports multiple console types including Sega Master System, Mega Drive, and even Game Gear. It is even backward compatible with older Gameboy models like Gameboy Color and Super GB. 

Higan features the unique concept of game folders that accurately represents the game's cartridge and all of its metadata. Files stored inside the folders include things like SRAM, cheats, input settings, configurations, and more. Higan is known to be the first multi-emulator to achieve cycle-based emulation for every component on all of its supported system.
