Simple64 (N64)

Simple64 is a well-known Nintendo 64 emulator that provides many advanced features such as a fully-functional netplay, and an automatic updater. Developed by loganmc10, this open-source emulator is based on a heavily modified version of mupen64plus-core and ParaLLEI RSP/RDP. Previously known as M64p, Simple64 offers the best out-of-the-box experience as it needs no additional plugins to start playing.

Simple64 has higher system requirements than most N64 emulators. This project requires a fairly good CPU with a GPU that supports Vulkan 1.1 at the very least. However, if you're still having some performance issues, try unchecking "SynchronousRDP" in Settings->Core and Video Settings->ParaLLEl Video. Although some games require this to be enabled, disabling it can increase your FPS.
