DeSmuME (DS)

Developed by YopYop156, DeSmuME is an open-source emulator for the Nintendo DS handheld gaming console. This NDS emulator sports a wide array of tools designed for hackers, speedrunners, power gamers, and even online video streamers.

Formerly known as YopYop DS, this seasoned emulator has had significant improvements since 2018. Since version 0.9.13, DeSmuME boasts dozens of new features such as the use of less CPU/GPU resources with "GPU Scaling Factor", higher resolution 3D rendering that goes beyond the native 256x192 pixels, and more.

Despite having a plethora of fancy emulator features like save states and graphical enhancements, there are still several features that aren't supported - and aren't planned to be. They include DS Download Play, DS Local Play for local multiplayer, DS Wi-Fi Play for online multiplayer, DSi emulation including DSiWare and retail features, and DS/Wii Connectivity.
