Mesen (NES)

Mesen is a free open-source video game console emulator for Windows and Linux systems. This software can accurately emulate Famicom (NES) and Famicom Disk System (FDS) games with high performance and compatibility. A Mesen libretro core is also available for RetroArch.

According to the currently established NES test ROM suites, Mesen holds the top rank when it comes to NES emulation accuracy with 100% compatibility. This open-source software should be the emulator of choice for those who are looking for the utmost accuracy. Mesen also features a simple user interface and dozens of user-friendly features that are not available to other emulators on the same line.
