JSPspEmu is a unique project that aims to create a working PSP emulator that runs on modern browsers. Developed by SoyWiz - the one that brought CSPspEmu, this emulator is made using only Javascript (or more accurately, typescript). Because the program uses WebGL, it is heavily dependent on the system's GPU. Thus, the rendering speed will be similar to other emulators that use the OpenGL|ES. The type of browser, as well as how optimized it is also affects the speed and playability of the emulated PSP games.
The latest version of the JSPspEmu has been tested to work on the following browsers:
Opera and Chrome use V8 and perform the best with a faster and smoother experience. Internet explorer doesn't have any sound while the Safari browser lacks the WebGL support that is required. With enough optimization, some games can even run at a full 60 fps. Unfortunately, there hasn't been any update from the developer since 2015, thus the project was deemed inactive.
JSPspEmu Emulator download can be obtained free to play Playstation Portable. Available for multiple platforms including Source with fastest download speeds on EmulatorDownload.net. This PSP Emulator (also known as JavaScript Psp Emulator, JavaScript PSPEmu,) is in English and can run games online in high quality. JSPspEmu is developed by SoyWiz and JSPSPEMU Team. If you like this Sony emulator then also see related emulators such as PPSSPP and RetroArch.
