RetroArch (Xbox)

RetroArch is a mainstream multi-console and multi-platform emulator that can theoretically play homebrew Xbox games with DirectXbox Libretro core. RetroArch is a Libretro front-end with many available cores that allow users to play and emulate thousands of games from PlayStations, SNES, SEGA Genesis, and even PSP. 

Formerly known as SSNES, this emulator uses the DirectXbox Libretro core for playing Xbox Games. Unfortunately, as it is in its early development, this core can only use Cromwell BIOS that can only boot up images, and some homebrew Xbox games. However, some promising experimental work-in-progress Xbox cores are written from the ground up for Libretro.

Although RetroArch's Xbox emulation is still highly experimental, this front-end emulator is still among the top go-to-emulator for serious and casual gamers alike. But if you want to play those mainstream triple-A Xbox games, we recommend getting other standalone Xbox emulators for the moment instead.
