Pureikyubu (GameCube)

Pureikyubu, the Japanese equivalent of the word "PlayCube", is a promising GameCube emulator developed by username Emu-russia. Previously known as Dolwin, the project was later renamed to avoid confusion with a similar project called Dolphin Emulator.

Unlike other similar emulators, the goal of the project is mainly personal as the developer wishes to research and study the hardware features of GameCube. This open-source project is designed to reverse-engineer the technologies used to develop the games for its platform that he believes to be a hardware masterpiece of Nintendo/ArtX engineers.  As such, the developer wishes to extend his passion to everyone interested by sharing the project so everyone can explore the device and discover something new together.

Although developed mainly for Windows, Pureikyubu can be compiled to work on Generic Linux/Ubuntu systems. At the time of this writing, the project is still in its early developmental stages, but the project development is very active with regular updates.
