Nestopia UE (or Nestopia Undead Edition) is an open-source NES/Famicom and FDS/Famicom Disk System emulator that is specifically designed to emulate the NES hardware as accurately as possible. UE offers a lot of improvement from its predecessor while ensuring that the project works on modern systems. The original Nestopia, developed by Martin Freij with C++, ended its development back in 2008. Fortunately, the fork Undead Edition brought it back to life and even added more features while improving the base emulator's accuracy, compatibility, and performance, all the while lowering the high system requirements of the original. The project uses cycle-exact emulation that allows it to run titles on precise timing.

Just like the original Nestopia that allows customization of colors, sounds, and graphics, UE has several innovative features such as Power Glove, and support for Zapper Light Gun and additional sound chips.
