PicoDrive (Sega)

PicoDrive is an open-source emulator that is mainly available for PSP and PSVITA. This emulator can run Sega Genesis/Sega Mega Drive, Sega Master System, Sega Game Gear, Sega CD/Sega Mega CD, Sega 32X, and Sega Pico. 

Originally developed for the UIQ2, this software has long moved on to GP2X Wiz, PSP, and other handheld devices such as Gizmondo. PicoDrive is also made available to Windows and Pandora systems. Currently, PicoDrive is mostly used as Libretro core while the standalone updates are few and far in between.

PicoDrive was the first emulator to properly emulate Virtua Racing and its SVP chip. The software was initially developed by Dave (author of FinalBurn) with codes based on Stephane Dallongeville's Gens. The project was later expanded to what it is today by Notaz. A developer named Robson Alcantara also provides subsequent updates and notable improvements. This free emulator is optimized for ARM devices and features 68k, Z80, and VDP chip emulation cores.
