ePSXe (PSX)

Play classic PlayStation One games with one of the best PS1 emulators. ePSXe is packed with good performance and ease of use. This plugin-based PlayStation emulator was initially released on October 14, 2000, and was developed by three people. ePSXe is a closed-source emulator with the exception of the application programming interface (API) for its plug-ins.

The ePSXe emulator supports multiple CD-ROM formats including sub-channel support and PPF. Although a real PlayStation BIOS is recommended for a more stable play and better performance, it is not required to run. Running without the original BIOS will result in poorer game accuracy as compared to the original console.
