Developed by Swordfish90, Lemuroid is an open-source Libretro frontend that originated from a rib of Retrograde while integrating LibretroDroid technology. This project is much lighter and simpler than RetroArch on Android, as such, it generally performs better on low-end devices. This fantastic emulator is compatible with a range of Android devices including Android TVs. This app is available for free and doesn't even contain any obtrusive ads that one might expect from a free app.

As a Libretro front-end, having multiple cores allow you to play other gaming systems including PS1, PSP, NDS, and SNES. This multi-system emulator comes with high compatibility with commercial games with good performance on most devices. Of course, the more modern the console you wish to emulate, the more demand it has on your phone. As such, games that originally run on PSP, 3DS, and other high-end consoles require high-spec phones.

Note that this app does not contain any games or game roms. The user must provide their own roms legally to play.
